If you have a look on the various problems you all report and deal with in the threads of the present forum, you see an immense number of different compatibility and functional problems in Nero products.
Since I have some insight into a consistent and professional development of complex software in safety relevant areas, and into the related support and product improvement, I can tell you, that a professional company is able to develop products which do not have as increadibly many bugs and functional omissions.
How can all of you, honored colleague customers of Nero, just talk about all these bugs, staying cool and open to resolve Nero's problems? It is not my duty as a customer, to find out how I can overcome the problems of Nero. A Software Product MUST BE DEVELOPED FOR THE ACCEPTED OPERATING SYSTEMS, even if these are changed by their related producers. If they are not capable to assure this, then Nero in our case should make a clear exceptions on its selling contract.
In case of functional bugs, this is however not excludeable by contractual means. An announced function MUST BE IN the product! Otherwise we can give it back or require a replacement which provides all functions.
You all make it easy for Nero, not to care about the quality of their products, but nevertheless take high prices.
Like this we do not improve our situation as customers!
Nevertheless, take care, and a happy New Year!
Perhaps you should not waste so much of your precious time, and buy a better product elsewhere!?

The one point I disagree with you about is the price which I consider reasonable or even inexpensive IF Nero delivered what is promised. Since you've laid out the case very well, I just thought I'd ask for your opinion about two recent posts of mine which have been brought up to date following my installation of Nero 2017:
Nero Video confused by its own exports!
Nero Reps: Ages-old DVD software error discovered..
For a while, in the past, I would submit bugs in the Nero preferable way - via Tech Support. Those submissions are generally ignored, so I've taken to public posting in the forum. In many cases, the defects are so blatantly amateurish I would expect the developers to stay up nights fixing them immediately before anyone else sees them! That's how I feel about the above mentioned issues. And, you?
I partly agree with you because it's not only the mistake of nero. If you rethink the Windows-Versions of the last few years some versions was unusable (ME, Vista) and then there was a stable version (XP/Win 7). But nearly the whole world works with Windows (TM) and tries to avoid the errors.
you may be right with Windows weaknesses. But, as a client I do not really mind. If I buy a product which is deemed to function on WIN, I at minimum expect a message from the app producer, that there are bugs to expect due to the system software, and that a repair patch or else is in preparation for solving the problem. I KNOW SOFTWARE PROVIDERS WHO WORK LIKE THIS! And their products are not more expensive like Nero products. Ok, they are not in the video area, but this does not matter. If video is a delicate area and not easy to master, then Nero should let its fingers off!
Hi Omega Tester,
see my comment above: other SW companies are able to assure an adequate support, while being not more expensive. W.r.t. the Nero prices I should rather say: they are not worth the rubbish they provide, whether its a low ore a high price. Sorry my English is perhaps not understandable to everybody...
Perhaps a whole product was produced to wirk with a special Windows-Build.
After a Service pack or a path day this can be over with the full funtionality and you have to wait for a new version of the product, may be as a service pack or a upgrade to a higher version like nero 2016/2017.
