  • Dear wither,
I am not sure whether I should answer in German or English. Because you used "Google translator" I suppose you speak English. I know the technical support of Nero. But it takes about two or three days for an answer. I already tried it some days ago with another topic. I hoped this forum would be faster. But it might be necessary to contact the technical support. But before I reinstall Nero and hope this will fix it.
    With kind regards Hansjörg

  • You guessed it. I live in Ohio and speak English. I try to answer in German in case a person who might be following this thread doesn't understand English. After all, it is a German forum.

Using the translator makes things really thorny when working with someone on a very complicated problem and I'm really thankful if the author can write in English.

Two or 3 days for an answer from tech support is pretty good. It used to take a minimum of 5 days for most cases. Early this year, Nero made a valiant effort to reduce the time and so far, it's worked out pretty well.

I don't think reinstalling will help but, who knows.

  • Dear wither ,
thanks for your answer and greetings to Ohio. I never visited the USA so far. It is true that such a translator makes it difficult to translate technical terms. But I was surprised how good the translation already was.

I reinstalled Nero and it made no difference. The system closed the SecurDisc Surface Scan window immediately. I have to contact the technical support and ask them.
    Take care Hansjörg

  • I took two years of German in College. The first year was all the basics. The second year was technical German. However, that was 50 years ago and seldom used it. As a result, I have forgotten most of the vocabulary so I rely on the translator. I can read it better than writing or speaking so I oftentimes take a look at what the translator has created to make sure it says what I meant. I'm not always successful.

    Let me know their response.
